”Hello.” She politely bowed back at him.
”My name is Blaze the Cat, nice too meet you.”
”Pardon my asking but your stature is rather unfamiliar to me. Where do you come from?”
Homecoming
Much much later, Silver awoke from his magically induced sleep with a gasp for air. How could he let himself sleep while he still had to find her?! How did he even manage to sleep? The nightmares would have woken him in minutes, and yet… he could only remember having a couple nightmares before a warm presence calmed his mind. Maybe he was close then! But… he wasn’t were he slept last night. He was home!
Flinging off the covers, Silver hopped out of bed only to stagger due to his injuries from Mephiles. Not fatal, but annoying. How did he get here anyways..? did Amy drag him all the way back? She was worried about him, but she wouldn’t have done that… All of Silver’s questions would have been answered if he simply looked at the Sol energy radar on his wrist. It was flashing, but he was distracted.
Leaving the guest room, Silver came to enter the living room and found a lavender cat drinking tea on the couch, also battered up a bit, but with a worried expression… probably for him. She hadn’t noticed him enter yet.
“B-Blaze..?” Silver was blinking, trying to make sure he wasn’t still hallucinating, as well as choking back some tears.
When she turned to see him, he had an expression similar to anger. He stomped over to her, growing more livid with every step. Glaring at the cat, he raised an arm as if to strike and…!
He wrapped it around her, pulling her into a tight hug. One that was probably too tight for either of their sore bodies to handle. Loosening up his grip, he managed to choke out “W-welcome back… m-my princess..!” through his tears. It was evident to her that he was into her shoulder, but still smiling.
She had barely had the time to put down her cup when Silver approached her, a wave of relief washing over her at his awakening. Though he looked quite displeased, so much that she had expected some sort of scolding reproach out of him.
Needless to say that she was a little surprised when he simply hugged - a little too tightly even, but she’d say nothing about it, not after everything that had happened.
She gladly returned the hug, a smile crossing her features as she leaned her cheek atop of his head.
”Thank you…it’s good to be back.” Her voice was nothing but a soft whisper at this point, tears of her own forming in her eyes.
How she had missed him.

Blaze eyed the rather suspicious stranger as it came towards her, her body tensing slightly, but keeping a relaxed demeanor while she continued to watch him.

Homecoming
A bright circle of light appeared, hurling Blaze’s body out through it’s center along with a single Sol emerald before vanishing, leaving her laying on the ground.
How long had she been gone?
How long had it been since she’d been thrown into another zone, tricked and ambushed by a suspicious group?
How long had it been since she last saw him?
She grimaced as she attempted to lift herself off the ground, still shaken by what had just happened, her body aching from the continuous strain it had been put through in the past week or so.
Her mind was a little blurry too, but she clearly remembered finally grabbing hold of the emerald that had been so unfairly stolen from her after desperately searching for it in the unknown territory she was thrown in.
She also remembered her last thoughts as she clutched it fervently in her hands moments earlier.
She wanted to go back to her home.
To her precious friends.
And most of all to Silver.
He had been the lingering thought in her mind before the jewel in her hand shone brightly, sending her back before she even knew what was happening.
But as she raised her head, sitting on her knees as she lightly rubbed her throbbing head, looking ahead of her, she immediately understood what had happened.
”….S-Silver…!!”
Panicked worry rushed her to his unconscious body, immediately checking for his vital signs while ignoring the pangs of pain in her own limbs.
Good, he was only sleeping.
Yet even in this state, he looked shockingly exhausted, sadness and concern painting his features.
Her own face fell at the realization he had probably spent this whole time looking for her, neglecting his own health in the process.
Her first reflex was wanting to scold him, but was she really in right to? She would have done the same for him, after all, and besides, this was all her fault…
With a sigh, she brushed the thought aside, gently picking the hedgehog off the ground as she stood, making her way to their home as quickly as her battered body - at least she wasn’t badly injured - could manage. They both needed to rest, and fast.
Once they had finally arrived, she made a bee line for the bed, carefully putting him down on it before basically letting herself fall next to him.
Only moments later, her eyes already began to droop slowly, her eyes fixed on Silver’s sleeping face.
And despite suddenly being overcome by fatigue, she still managed to scoot over closer to him, placing a light kiss on his lips before snuggling herself to sleep while resting her head on his chest, finally letting sleep overcome her senses…
Home sweet home.
*He carefully leaned in close, initiating the movement for a kiss, and the moment Blaze began to as well, he changed course to be slightly lower. In his new position, he was able to give her a lick under her chin, pausing for a mere moment to consider his next action, which he followed through on: giving her a light nip.*

*Her hands flew to her mouth as a rather loud and prolonged purr escaped her throat, the surprise making her face flush into a bright red tint. Where the hell had he pulled this type of trick from??*
”Ch-Ch-Cheater! Y-You tricked m-me! ////”
*His purring was a little louder than hers because he thought he was in the lead and had let his guard down. The resulting embarrassment caused his muzzle to redden.*
You’re… really cute. Especially like this; it’s impossible to deny you…
*She was slightly taken aback by his sudden compliment - she hadn’t expected that from him given the current situation - resulting in her pausing her teasing.*
”Ah, um…”
”Thank you…?”
*He teasingly rubs her under her chin and whispers:* It’s not… going to be easy.
*a light purr at the touch, but she quickly retaliates with an equally teasing stroke to his chest*
”I… beg to differ.*
